At Venley Capital, we are committed to combating modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms. We acknowledge that these practices are abhorrent and have no place in our business or supply chain.

Our Commitment

We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery and are committed to ensuring that our business and supply chain are free from such practices. We conduct due diligence on all our suppliers and require them to comply with our ethical standards. We also train our employees on identifying and reporting any signs of modern slavery.

Supply Chain Due Diligence

At Venley Capital, we are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our supply chain. This includes our relationships with suppliers of cleaning staff, food and drink, office and IT equipment, and other resources. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure they share our values and have robust policies and procedures in place to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking.

We carry out regular due diligence assessments of our suppliers and their practices, including visits to their facilities and reviewing their policies and procedures. We also provide training to our employees to help them identify any signs of modern slavery or human trafficking and to report any concerns.

Investigations and Action

We take any reports of modern slavery or human trafficking seriously and will investigate any such reports thoroughly. If we find any instances of modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chain, we will take immediate action to address it, which may include terminating our relationship with the supplier.

Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continuously reviewing and improving our policies and procedures to ensure that we uphold the highest standards in our supply chain and throughout our business.

Due Diligence Processes and Staff Training

At Venley Capital, we take modern slavery and human trafficking very seriously. To ensure that we are monitoring and mitigating these risks, we have developed robust due diligence procedures for reviewing our supply chains and prospective clients.

Our procedures include:

  • Conducting risk assessments to identify potential modern slavery and human trafficking risks in our supply chain before engaging with a new organization or individual. If an organization fails to meet our anti-modern slavery standards, we will terminate the relationship.
  • Conducting extensive reviews and assessments of every prospective client we engage with to ensure that they operate legally and ethically.
  • Having a whistleblowing policy and protection of whistleblowers, which is readily available to all staff. Our senior management regularly emphasizes the importance of this policy, to ensure staff feel empowered to report concerns and are protected when they do so.
  • Providing regular behavioural and compliance training for all members of staff to remind them of our code of conduct and professional responsibilities.

We also extend our due diligence procedures to our supply chains, including cleaning staff, the supply of food and drinks for our office spaces, office and IT equipment, and resources. Our team is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards and we continually review and refine our policies and procedures to ensure that we are doing our part to combat modern slavery and human trafficking.
